Romantic Outdoor wedding at Puesta Del Sol Farm
Dan and Samantha’s wedding day was filled with so much love and joy. Their wedding took place at Puesta Del Sol Farm in Yellow Spring, WV. Puesta Del Sol is the perfect venue for couples who want to feel like they are the only ones in the world, celebrating their love surrounded by their family and friends. Every time we have been to Puesta Del Sol, we feel as though we have stepped into another world. The farm is settled in the Appalachian mountains and surrounded by rolling hills, mature trees, and picturesque sunsets.
Dan and Samantha’s wedding was an intimate day with all of their guests traveling from far and wide. Samantha got ready in the bridal suite with her mom and best friends. One of her best friends was miles away awaiting the arrival of her baby boy, but Samantha included her in her day through a FaceTime call. Samantha’s dress was from Sabrina Ann in Ardmore, PA. Dan prepared for his wedding day with his best friend who had gone through college and served in the Navy with him.
Dan and Samantha shared a moment together before their wedding. They met for a first look under a tree behind the beautiful farm house of Puesta Del Sol and exchanged private letters. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful! They exchanged vows under an arbor that was covered with florals designed by Jason at Falling Run Flower Farm. Jason’s florals really spoke to the couple.
After the ceremony, we borrowed Dan and Samantha for a short bride and groom session. This is one of our favorite moments of a wedding day - those first few moments after the ceremony, when the couple is beaming with smiles from ear to ear, taking a moment to enjoy being married before they join their guests at cocktail hour. We love being able to give our couples a chance to soak in that moment. It was important to Dan and Samatha that they were present for cocktail hour, so we kept their bride and groom session short. We also knew that they wanted to get photos at sunset and take advantage of the breathtaking sunsets at Puesta Del Sol.
Their reception was a blast! From moving toasts to a dance floor that never stopped, DJ Andrew kept the party going into the night. Their signature cocktails were named after their dogs “Ruby” and “Hachi.”
Dan and Samantha’s sunset session was an absolute dream. They were such a fun couple to photograph and we loved every moment of it. We even had the opportunity to shoot a little 35mm film that day. After their wedding, they were immediately moving across the country for work. Dan and Samantha’s wedding was one we will always remember and we wish them the best!
