Classic meets modern church wedding
Katelyn & Travis got married on November 6, 2021 at Hub City Vineyard in Hagerstown, MD. This was such a special wedding for us to capture. Melissa has known Katelyn since middle school and Joe was in Marching Band with her in high school. It is always such an honor to capture a friend's special day. Katelyn & Travis invited us to their rehearsal which was a great opportunity for us to see the ceremony and reception space prior to wedding day! Plus we were able to give them some photos from their rehearsal as well.
On their wedding day Katelyn and Travis were surrounded by their friends and family. Prior to the ceremony Katelyn shared a special moment with her Dad. Katelyn did a first look with her Dad and gifted him a handkerchief. It was a special moment they shared as Daddy and Daughter prior to walking down the aisle.
The ceremony was held in the sanctuary of Hub City Vineyard. The lighting created a very intimate setting for the two to exchange their vows. Katelyn & Travis' son was the ring bearer and he was absolute handsome in his blue suit. Travis is a police officer and there were many details of the wedding day in honor of his service. From the wedding color being blue to Katelyn's blue shoes and her police theme garter.
The reception followed at the church as well. The started the ceremony with the traditional dances. First dance, mother/son, father daughter, and then finally Katelyn shared a special dance with her son. The space was decorated with cream colored pumpkins and navy blue, so classy for a fall wedding.
Katelyn & Travis had a beautiful "golden hour" for photos part way through their reception. We had to pull them for a few minutes to take advantage of that!
The cake/cupcakes were fabulous! The bride's cousin and bridesmaid Kylie Miller made the desserts! She runs a bakery called Kylie's Confections out of Charles Town, WV.
Katelyn & Travis ended the reception by having the dance floor to themselves. They had their guests head outside to prepare for their sparkler exit. They then headed outside to exit their reception with sparklers! When the guests headed back inside to gather their things "Country Roads" was playing... is it even a wedding if "Country Roads" isn't played! Everyone that was still around linked arms and started singing "Country Roads" all together. A great way to end the night.
